Dinosaur Detectives: 5-7 year olds.
What does a pigeon have in common with a T. rex? Don your paleontologist’s hat and join us as we travel into the past to understand what makes a dino a dino and explore the environments they lived in! We will explore Museum collections, make fossils, and discover all about life in ancient New Mexico.
Prehistoric Paleontology: 8-10 year olds.
Dig into the prehistoric world of the past and learn all about creatures that lived eons ago, and the environments they lived in. Explore Museum collections, make fossils, and discover all about life in ancient New Mexico.

Awesome Astronomy – 5-7 year olds
Blast off on a celestial adventure through the solar system and beyond! Investigate the solar system and Milky Way Galaxy with exciting activities. We will explore a variety of celestial objects, the Summer Solstice, space flight, and so much more. Campers will also enjoy the planetarium!
Space Explorers – 8-10 year olds.
Planets, stars, and meteorites, oh my! Become a space explorer and investigate the solar system and Milky Way Galaxy with exciting activities and planetarium shows. We will also get the chance to speak face to face with an expert who is currently working on the Mars rovers!
July 8 – 12, 2024
Volcano Explorers – 5-7 and 8-10 year olds.
Join us as we explore what makes a volcano a volcano, and delve into the huge varieties of volcanoes found in New Mexico and in outer space on other planets. We will explore the geology of volcanoes through hands-on activities and Museum exhibits about volcanoes. Campers will enjoy all that the Museum has to offer! (Max 15 kids for each age group)

STEM-ineers – 5-7 and 8-10 year olds.
Are you curious about all things science? Join us for a STEM-full week of exciting fun with paleontology, ecology, geology, and engineering! Behind the scenes Museum tours, Dyna Theater movies, and Planetarium shows make each day a unique wonder. (Max 15 kids for each age group)

· Price per camp (per week): $300.00 (Members: $270.00)
· All camps are for children ages 5-10 from 9:00-4:00
· Parents may drop off beginning at 8:45
· 5-year-olds must have experience in full-day classes before attending
· The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science reserves the right to cancel camps that do not reach a minimum of six participants. A full refund will be given if a camp is canceled for this reason.
