Welcome to the Worlds of Webb

Aug 20 2022 - 10:00am to 3:00pm
Location:
Museum Atrium & Planetarium

Learn the latest updates from the James Webb Space Telescope.  UNM professors Dr. Diana Dragomir, who is on the team of astronomers interpreting Webb’s images, and Tony Hull, who supervised the polishing of Webb’s mirrors, will both describe how the space observatory functions and what we have learned from the information it’s collected so far.  During a special presentation in the planetarium at 1 p.m., Mr. Hull will share insights into Webb’s mission that you won’t be able to find anywhere else!  Other events happening from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. include VR experiences, table activities, and videos.  Visit Webb’s website here: https://webb.nasa.gov
