Voices in Science Evening Lecture: Ancient Life: 250 Million Years of Earth History in New Mexico

Join us for a deep dive into the Museum's newest exhibit hall! The Bradbury Stamm Construction Hall of Ancient Life is the newest exhibit of the NMMNHS detailing the Paleozoic history of New Mexico – a complex story of ancient seas, jungles and deserts 500 to 250 million years ago. Join NMMNHS Curator Dr. Spencer Lucas as he reviews the background and content of the exhibit to explore this fascinating part of Earth history as it is recorded in New Mexico’s rocks and fossils. 

As part of this event, The Museum's new exhibit, the Bradbury Stamm Construction Hall of Ancient Life, will be open only to lecture attendees from 5:30 to 6:30pm. 

About the speaker: Dr. Spencer Lucas is a Curator of Paleontology at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science. He is a paleontologist and stratigrapher who specializes in the study of late Paleozoic, Mesozoic and early Cenozoic vertebrate fossils and continental deposits, particularly in the American Southwest. He was the curator for the  Bradbury Stamm Construction Hall of Ancient Life.
