MEET THE EXPERTS!

Staff and Specimens Emerge from Behind Scenes

Was show and tell your favorite day at school? Do you have a really cool fossil, but have always wondered exactly what it was? Have you ever wanted to learn more about how 3-D printing works? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science has a First Sunday Special Event that you are going to love! Come Meet the Experts! on Sunday, October 6th from Noon – 4PM. This is your chance to engage one-on-one with Museum curators, educators, exhibits staff, and more. 20 experts will be on-site here at the Museum, and they will be bringing out behind the scenes specimens like fossils, bugs, and other critters. They will even identify fossils that you bring in. Learn more about museum craft like what goes into curating and building museum quality exhibits. Meet the Experts! is a FREE event for New Mexico residents.

On the first Sunday of every month, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science is FREE to all New Mexico residents. (Bring NM ID or proof of residence. Regular admission fees apply for DynaTheater and Planetarium shows and Titanic Exhibit.)

The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science preserves and interprets the distinctive natural and scientific heritage of our state through extraordinary collections, research, exhibits, and programs designed to ignite a passion for lifelong learning. A division of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs.
