Workshop - Reinventing Anatomy: Paper Pulp Sculpture

 

Use daVinci’s drawings of anatomy to inform your paper pulp sculpture and create a 3D portrait using found objects and junkmail. Class will be held in the Museum Kiwanis Learning Garden

 

Michelle Korte has taught art in public and private schools, community centers, and universities in Chicago, Oakland, and Albuquerque for over fifteen years. She holds a BFA from Laguna College of Art and Design, an MA in Creation Spirituality from Naropa University, and an MFA from Columbia College Chicago. She teaches art classes from a creative reuse mobile art studio.

Cirrelda Snider-Bryan is a clay artist and illustrator; and she has facilitated many community murals. She is a member of NM Potters & Clay Artists, Mosaic Artists of NM, and the National Council for Education in the Ceramic Arts. An environmental educator at the NM Museum of Natural History & Science since 2007, Cirrelda believes the most interesting art is influenced by science.

Cost $50 ($45 for members). Includes FREE ADMISSION to Da Vinci: The Genius exhibit both days of this workshop (up to a $44 value). This workshop is intended for adults and students age 10 and above.
