Prehistoric Preschool 2017: Fall Session 2 - "Rocks & Volcano's"

Prepare your young geologist for an adventure into the depths of the Earth to understand the geologic features of New Mexico. Explore the wonders within the Earths crust as we discuss the rock cycle, mineralogy, and explosive volcanoes. So grab your rock hammer and embark on an epic adventure to discover the stories rocks have to tell!       
   
This classes times are: 

  • Thursday 11 am - 1 pm: October 26th, November 9th, November 16th, & December 7th  
  • Thursday 2 pm - 4 pm: October 26th, November 9th, November 16th, & December 7th 
  • Saturday 11 am - 1 pm: October 28th, November 11th, November 18th, & December 10th
  • Saturday 2 pm - 4 pm: October 28th, November 11th, November 18th, & December 10th

Prehistoric Preschool is a Museum program for 3- to 5- year-olds and their grown-ups to explore natural history topics in a supportive and fun atmosphere. All activities are child-centered, hands-on, and age appropriate.  Classes include two hours of crafts, songs, games, puppet shows, investigating specimens from the Museum's collections, walks through museum exhibits, and a fun and healthy snack.

Participants choose to attend either Thursday, Friday, or Saturday morning classes from 9 AM to 11 AM. There is also a Saturday afternoon class from 12 PM to 2 PM. There are 4 classes in each session, and classes meet every other week.

Price: 
$90.00 for the first child, $81.00 for the second child. Museum members receive a 10% discount.
