Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 12 @ the Museum

Nov 20 2019 - 1:00pm to 5:00pm

Take part in a truly unique experience as you "walk on the Moon" (on a giant lunar floor map). The Museum is one of only a few places in the country (and the only place in NM) to have this giant moon map on loan from NASA. New Mexico has long been involved in studying the geology of the Moon (and using New Mexico's volcanoes as analogs to lunar volcanism). We are the first to have the NASA Moon Map after its appearance on the National Mall in Washington DC to celebrate the Apollo 11 Anniversary.

So...come and walk on the moon...this afternoon.  Hands-on activities for all ages, videos, information about the Apollo missions.

FREE with museum admission.
