Phytosaur Skeleton

Phytosaur

Dinosaurs were not the top predators of the Late Triassic landscape. Instead, the crocodile-like phytosaurs were the largest (up to 10 meters/32.8 feet long) meat-eaters on the floodplain. Large phytosaurs probably attacked their prey like modern crocodiles, ambushing them with a sudden lunge from the water.
